Meet Carla

Broker-Associate
Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, Carla graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Linguistics. Shortly after graduating, she moved to Put-in-Bay, Ohio where she opened a bed and breakfast, boat storage facility, and gift shop.
 
Upon selling the businesses, Carla moved to Florida where she immediately earned her real estate salesperson and broker licenses. She spent the first 8 years of her career in new construction home sales, assisting the builder with take-offs, warranty, customer service, and design selection.
 
Carla’s passion for life and adventure got her involved in global real estate in 2005 which led her to travel extensively to Europe and Central America. Her biggest honor was serving as the President of FIABCI-USA 2023-2024. She was the 2020 National Association of REALTORS® Global Coordinator to North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Prior to holding this position, she was the President’s Liaison to Panama.
 
Carla is a licensed instructor for the National Association of REALTORS® and Florida REALTORS®. She has instructor licenses in Florida and Texas. She is an active member of her local, state, and national associations and was named REALTOR® of the Year and achieved the association's first Global Commitment Award and the President’s Award twice from the Sarasota Association of REALTORS® (now RASM).
 
Describing herself as a globalist, explorist, and discoverist Carla loves to travel, meet interesting people, try new cuisines, and experiment with adventure. She loves socializing with her friends, cooking and entertaining, going to art exhibits and wine tastings, and spending time with her husband and Havanese.
